Giovanni Liccardo, founder and CEO of Lever Touch, awarded the Leone d’Oro in Venice for his professional achievements
On 24 November, Giovanni Liccardo was honoured with the prestigious Leone d’Oro in Venice for his outstanding professional career.
Recognized for his 30 years at Lever Touch, his success, his ethical, moral and human values, and his social and cultural contributions to Italy.
The celebration in honour of the CEO from Naples was held in the Senate of the Italian Republic in Rome, specifically, in the Giustiniani Palace. The solemn ceremony was led by the President of the Foundation in charge of the prize.
The Leone d’Oro, a prize that was created in 1932 originally for film, created one for entrepreneurship in 2008. It is a symbol of excellence reserved for very few; protagonists of highly successful business stories who are characterized by high ethical, moral and human values, and who have made a valuable contribution to social and cultural development in Italy. Which, of course, is the case with Giovanni Liccardo, founder and CEO of Lever Touch.
Lever Touch: “More sustainable and faster repairs”
Giovanni Liccardo founded Lever Touch more than 30 years ago, thus starting on the road to realizing an ambitious dream: to create a modern, green and inclusive company. This recognition confirms a dream come true for Giovanni, who said:
“It’s a great honor for me and the whole group to receive an award for a project characterized by creating value, and which has turned into a great international reality. My dream was to create a modern, green and inclusive company. It wasn’t easy, but the Leone d’Oro in recognition of my career shows that the dream has become a reality. This was only possible thanks to the support of my family and my team of co-workers, to whom I express my sincerest gratitude. As of today, Lever Touch has the characteristics, and it is perfectly organized in various countries, to provide an excellent service.“
Lever Touch, specialized in large-scale vehicle maintenance and repair, is now a global leader with a consolidated presence in several countries, including Italy, Spain, France, Germany, the USA, Brazil and Argentina.
A case study in operational capacity that allows us to guarantee operations involving thousands of repairs in a few days anywhere in the world. Making specialized labor, infrastructure, technologies and resources available to its customers. Customers such as large car manufacturers, insurance companies and large short-term and long-term rental fleets.
And it’s all thanks to a patented technique that provides one of the factors that sets Lever Touch apart: paintless dent repair or PDR.
The PDR technique is perfect for vehicles damaged by hail, an increasing phenomenon due to climate change. This method is not only highly effective, but also sustainable, doing away with the need to use chemical paints that harm the environment. And we have the numbers to back it up. So far this year, Lever Touch has repaired over 150,000 vehicles worldwide. Not to mention the low environmental impact of the repairs and lower costs compared to traditional bodywork.
The Leone d’Oro award provides an incentive for Lever Touch, under Giovanni’s leadership, to face the future with significant growth ambitions. The goal is to expand to new markets, consolidate our presence in existing markets and create more direct repair centers in Europe.
However, there isn’t just a business commitment, but also a strong focus on training. The Lever Touch Academy, conceived by Giovanni Liccardo, gives young people the opportunity to become specialists in car repair by acquiring knowledge on the PDR technique. The vision of an inclusive team is reflected in the desire to offer international educational experiences to ensure complete and solid training.
In short, Giovanni Liccardo, having received the Leone d’Oro for his career achievements, continues to lead Lever Touch with a long-term vision, promoting business synergies and actively contributing to a more sustainable automotive sector.
